life without contact lens

I lost my contact lens for my right eyes one week ago (September 2) L

I felt so miserable and could not imagine how I would go through the next two weeks without my lenses—I could not see clearly with my eyeglasses, I look ugly with eyeglasses, one of the nose pads in the eyeglass fell off so I feel irritated with the metal on the side of my left nose, etc

But God changed my heart and mind! I began to thank God instead of grumbling and blaming myself for being so careless (I'm always in a hurry and I move fast).

  • Though I lost my lens, I still have my eyes. I could still see with the help of my eyeglasses.
  • I have good friends in Taiwan who were willing to help me order my lens and send to me.
  • It might be probable that the lens is infected or has some problems that I could not see with my naked eyes … it might be possible that God is preventing me from a much bigger trouble by allowing me to experience this little trouble
  • Something worse than losing a lens could have happened … so this pales in comparison and is bearable
  • God's grace is sufficient to see me through the next two weeks without my lens, but with Him in my life every moment—that is enough J
With my new perspective, I realized that my life could go on without my contact lens … at least for 10 days until my new lens arrive next week J

a little adjustment, a brighter outlook … spells a BIG difference in how I see things and live my life … thank God for allowing me to "see" through the eyes of faith J

one month in Louisville

It's exactly one month ago (August 8) when I first arrived. It has not been easy as I beat against time to keep up with all the requirements, but God sees me through day by day. I learn to live every moment by His grace and under His grace. I'm simply thankful for the opportunity to learn and grow. God is good all the time!
