Sleep Facebooking

Sleep Facebooking?!?!! This is the term that Harry Rowland coined for me when he saw my entry the other day on FB--(sleeping). Ha! I am the only one capable of doing that ha. Well, I thought of writing about this interesting phenomenon because many people had commented on some of my microblogging entries, such as (dance), (heart), and of course (sleeping).

Actually I do my microblogging from PLURK (http://www.plurk.com/fruitcake0625) which is also a social networking site like Facebook, Friendster, and Tweeter … but the nice thing about Plurk is it updates my posts not only on itself but also on Twitter and Facebook simultaneously (also on Friendster if I have set it up that way). And Plurk has this cute set of icons which do not appear as icons in the other two sites but as single words in a parenthesis.

So Harry, when (sleeping) appears on my FB, it actually happens because I have selected a cute, irresistible icon in Plurk hahaha. And why do I do that? Because I simply like the icon. So when you see (dance) on my post, that's also because I like the icon and it expresses my mood of joy or excitement ;) More reasons? Because sometimes I do not know what else to say or do not have time to write something, so I just choose a Plurk icon so I could have an entry in my Plurk page for the day. There is an explanation for this explanation hahaha (that is why I need to explain in my blog site because it will be too long for a microblog post). Plurk gives a score if you "plurk" daily, and deducts from your score if you have been inactive.

Now let's come to the question of why I microblog. It's simply because I could only manage microblogging most of the time. Because of my hectic schedule, I could not blog regularly, but microblogging is easy because it's shorter so I only need to say what I want to say directly (due to space limitation for each post). Hence, I do not need to "compose" and spend a lot of time organizing my thoughts and revising my blog entries (I'm a perfectionist that's why hehehe). Moreover, when I microblog it is a quick way of release for me—release from pressure and tension … it also refreshes my mind as I put into words what I feel or think at the moment in a brief and concise "plurk" … try it! :D

Hopefully after "sleep facebooking" now … I could really go back to sleep zzZZzzzZZZz
